Don't fall for CCW "SCAMS" for online classes. PLEASE NOTE: CCW Permits are only issued to those that have documentation of attending & completing a State of NC approved class for CCW, which consist of 8 hours of classroom instruction, shooting and qualifying with an firearm, unless you qualify for an exemption from the course according to NC SBI regulations. Exemption is given to current LEO, retired probation or parole officers who have retired within the past two years, retired State Correctional Officers who have retired within the past two years, and actively employed armed security guards.
