Accreditation

To be eligible to receive state and federal funding, all local health departments must achieve accreditation through the North Carolina Local Health Department Accreditation Program. This program began in 2006 and in 2014 achieving an accredited status on a recurring cycle became a requirement. Our current accreditation cycle runs from 2020-2026. During this period, we gather information required for benchmark activities to prepare for our site visit at the end of the cycle.
