LEE COUNTY, NC – The Lee County Board of Commissioners voted Monday to extend its RENEW Health and Well-Being Initiative through June 30, 2025 to continue providing mental health services to our residents.

This Health and Well-being Initiative is the first program launched through the County’s RENEW program, which stands for “Resources for Eliminating barriers, creating New Beginnings, and providing Education for an enhanced Well-being.” This initiative will continue the County’s work on creating an environment that promotes physical and mental health and well-being in our community as outlined in the County’s Strategic Plan.

Lee County is currently accepting applications from non-profit agencies and licensed mental health clinicians. Funding is reimbursed based on a list of mental health-related services approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Applications, as well as the approved services list, are available online or in paper form at 408 Summit Drive, Sanford. Fully completed applications are due no later than July 12, 2024, at 5:00 p.m.
