Human Resources Analyst
General Definition of Work: The Lee County Human Resources department is seeking qualified applicants for the fulltime position of a Human Resources Analyst. This position performs administrative work researching, developing, and executing educational training and development programs, conducts new employee orientation meetings, managing family medical leave, develops and publishes monthly newsletter, manages and monitor employee wellness program, managing employee development programs, planning employee events, researching and assembling information related to human resources programs or policies.
Essential Functions: Research, develops and conducts training and development programs; evaluates and measures the effectiveness of training and development programs. Oversees and leads the planning and execution of the STARS Employee Development Program; leads several committees comprised of county employees and directs meetings and STARS sponsored events. Administers and tracks Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Presents the employee orientation program to new employees regarding benefits and personnel policies and administrative procedures. Prepares monthly employee newsletter. Manages and monitors employee wellness program. Plans and executes special employee events. Completes and submits required reports to local, state, and federal agencies; researches and prepares statistical data as requested; participates in unemployment hearings. Assists in employment interviews with applicants; recommends qualified candidates for employment; conducts exit interviews. Counsels employees on a wide variety of life and work issues; assists the Director in conferences, meetings and investigations.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree with coursework in human resources, public administration, business administration, or related field and extensive expert experience working in human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Requirements: Valid driver's license in the State of North Carolina.
