Public Health Nurse III
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position functions as the HIV/STD Hepatitis B and C coordinator. This includes the coordination and follow-up of communicable diseases including, but not limited to, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C and Sexually Transmitted Diseases, including AIDS. Contact treatment and follow-up are also duties of this position. Other duties include: backup for Tuberculosis Control/Communicable Diseases/Immunization programs. This position also functions as the Respiratory Protection Coordinator for the Lee County Health Department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Graduation from a four year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and two years of Public Health nursing experience; or a Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of professional nursing experience including two years of Public Health nursing experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the N. C. Board of Nursing.
Pre-Employment Drug Screen and a Criminal Background Check are required.
