Swim Instructors (Part-Time)

Description of Work:
The Lee County Parks & Recreation Department is currently seeking part-time swim instructors for the upcoming pool season. Swim Instructors are responsible for following American Red Cross Swim Lesson guidelines, developing daily lesson plans, communicating with parents, and ensuring swimmers’ safety at all times. Applicants must be dependable and responsible individuals. Hours include weekday mornings 8-12 and/or evenings 5-9 May-August. Candidates will be contacted in March for interviews in April.

 

Requirements:
Applicants must be 16 years of age or older. Lifeguarding, teaching and/or swim team experience preferred but not required. The Lee County Parks & Recreation Department will provide paid training to complete the Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification. Applicants must be highly dependable, responsible individuals that enjoy working with children. Candidates must willingly submit to a criminal/driving history background check.  Applicants who are under the age of 18 must have a youth employment certificate.
