New Online Epass Account Features

A program, mandated by the Federal Government, which provides a monthly allotment of food assistance via an EBT card to eligible households.

The program is designed to help “supplement” families that meet income limits, which the government has provided, according to household size.

Applicants must meet income, household composition, citizenship/immigration status and applicable resource limits to be eligible for assistance. 

Food stamp allotment is based on the household income, size, rent/mortgage, utility bills and other applicable deductions.

HOW DO I APPLY FOR THE FOOD & NUTRITION PROGRAM?

You may apply for assistance by visiting our office at 530 Carthage Street, Sanford, NC 27330, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. -5:00 p.m. with the exception of observed holidays. 

Applications may also be completed using EPASS (Electronic Pre-assessment Screening Service). To apply please visit: https://epass.nc.gov
