Also exciting news for this month, the reopening of the Broadway Branch located at 206 S. Main Street in Broadway. During the month of June, the Broadway Branch will be open on Fridays and Saturdays from 12 PM – 4 PM. After the July 4th holiday, the library anticipates additional hours and being fully open the 25 hours a week by September 2022. Details will be announced soon.
“We are very grateful to the Broadway community for their patience and understanding while their branch was closed for COVID-19 and staffing issues,” said List. “It was a silver lining situation as we were able to take the time to update the branch with fresh paint, a fresh floorplan, and a refresh of materials. We really think the community will love what we have done so far!”
The branch was closed in March 2020 for COVID-19 and remained closed due to pandemic restrictions and staffing needs. During the closure, the branch went through a facelift, refreshment of the collection and an updated floor plan. There are more updates to come; however, library services are now available at the branch, including check in/out, material holds, public computer use (including printing/copying), reference needs, and participation in the Summer Reading program for all ages.
