LEE COUNTY, NC – January 7, 2022 – The Lee County Health Department (LCHD) will administer the Pfizer-BioNtech COVID-19 booster vaccine for 12-15-year olds on January 21st. The vaccination clinic will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center.

Children ages 12-15 are now eligible to receive the Pfizer-BioNtech booster vaccine. Each child must have parental consent and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when the vaccine is administered. There must be proper documentation to support the identity of the child vaccinated (birth certificate, shot record, passport).

If you are unsure about your child receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, this should be discussed with your primary care physician.

Heath Cain, Director of the LCHD said, “This booster vaccine will help to provide extra protection for our younger population and aid in mitigating the spread of the virus. This will allow us to continue working to improve the health of our community.”
