LEE COUNTY, NC – November 19, 2021 – Lee County Government (LCG) Health Department will continue administering the Pfizer-BioNtech Pediatric COVID-19 vaccine for children 5-11 years on December 17th.  The second dose of the vaccine will be administered on January 7th.  The vaccination clinics will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at the Dennis Wicker Civic Center.

Children ages 5-11 are eligible to receive the vaccine.  Each child must have parental consent and be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian when the vaccine is administered.  There must be proper documentation to support the identity of the child vaccinated (birth certificate, shot record, passport).

If you are unsure about your child receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, this should be discussed with your primary care physician.

Heath Cain, Director of the LCHD said, “Due to demand, the health department will be providing a second Pfizer-BioNtech Pediatric COVID-19 vaccine clinic for anyone who is interested in vaccinating their child.  This will allow us to continue improving the health of our community and mitigate this virus.”
