LEE COUNTY, NC – June 29, 2021 – The Enrichment Center of Lee County will reopen the Congregate Diners Club meal site and various fitness activities to participants on Tuesday, July 6.

The Center will be open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings until 7:00 pm, and the fitness room will be available by appointment only.

For those who are interested in participating in the Congregate Diners Club, meals will be served in the Grand Hall for Lee County residents 60 and over who register by 12noon on Thursday, July 1. To register for the club, please call Carole Nicely at 919-776-0501, ext. 2205. Transportation will be available via the County of Lee Transit System (COLTS) for participants who have mobility issues and are unable to drive to the Center.

In addition to the reopening of the Diners Club, several fitness activities are also returning to the Center, including yoga and Saturday Night Dance.

Yoga classes for individuals age 50+ will resume on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5:30 pm beginning July 6. Contact Cathy Andrew at 919-776-0501, ext. 2208 to register.

The Saturday Night Dance resumes on Saturday, July 10 at 7:00 pm in the Grand Hall, with the band Crossfire performing.

COVID-19 safety protocols will be followed at the Center. Unvaccinated participants and guests are strongly encouraged to wear a mask and maintain 6-feet social distancing while participating in any events or activities.

The Enrichment Center will not be open for guests who are not attending a scheduled activity or receiving a service.
