LEE COUNTY REPORTS SIXTEEN CASES OF COVID-19 REPORTED SINCE WEDNESDAY

LEE COUNTY, NC – May 22, 2020 – Lee County Government (LCG) Health Department confirmed a total of 359 residents have tested positive for COVID-19.  This includes four new cases identified on Thursday, May 21st and twelve cases identified today, Friday, May 22nd.  No additional information about individual cases will be shared by the LCG Health Department in order to maintain patient privacy. 

The Health Department continues to monitor 160 individuals and 196 individuals have resumed normal activities.  The county reports three laboratory confirmed COVID-19 deaths.

The LCG Health Department will provide updates on case numbers and demographics on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.  The next update will be provided on Monday, May 25th.

Individuals that are feeling sick are reminded to please stay home and away from others; call your primary care physician who is able to help assess your symptoms and provide additional guidance.  Lee County also provides the COVID-19 Information Hotline at (919) 352-3360; the hotline is available Monday through Friday from 8 AM until 5 PM.
