LEE COUNTY, NC – April 15, 2020 – Lee County Government (LCG) Health Department confirmed three additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 today, Wednesday, April 15, 2020. To maintain patient privacy, no additional information about the individuals will be shared by the LCG Health Department.
Of the nineteen residents that have tested positive for COVID-19, sixteen individuals continue to be monitored by the Health Department and three have resumed normal activities. At this time, there have been no deaths reported in Lee County attributed to COVID-19.
The Health Department urges residents to follow the guidelines and recommendations of the CDC and NCDHHS to help slow the spread of COVID-19. Recommendations include limiting activities outside the home to essential work, activities, and supplies; when in public, practice social distancing, wear a face mask, wash hands frequently, disinfect surfaces thoroughly, and avoid touching your face with your hands. The State offers a 24-hour COVID-19 Hotline at 888-892-1162 and 2-1-1 that may help connect individuals with available state and local resources. The Lee County Government COVID-19 Information Hotline at (919) 352-3360 is available to the public Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 5 PM to help assist with questions.
