LEE COUNTY CLOSES ADDITIONAL FACILITIES TO THE PUBLIC

LEE COUNTY, NC – March 18, 2020 – Lee County Government will close additional facilities as part of the COVID-19 response and preparedness efforts to prevent the potential spread of the virus in Lee County.  The new closings will be effective today, Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at 5:00 PM.  Employees will continue to report to work and will be available by telephone and email to our citizens from 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday.

The list of facilities closed to the public include:

  • COLTS Offices – 112 Hillcrest Drive; Sanford, NC
    • Limited service available; call to schedule an appointment

  • Cooperative Extension Offices
    • (919) 775-5624
  • Soil & Water Offices
    • (919) 776-2633

Facility closings remain in effect until further notice.  The Lee County Courthouse, Government Center, USDA and FSA Offices at the McSwain Center, and Convenience Centers will remain open to the public and maintain regular business hours at this time. 

Lee County Government will continue to provide updates on the county website - leecountync.gov and on social media- @leecountync.  The public may also refer to cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov and ncdhhs.gov/divisions/public-health/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19-response-north-carolina for up-to-date and reliable information.
