LEE COUNTY, NC – March 16, 2020 – Lee County Government has declared a State of Emergency in response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. The Board of Commissioners made the declaration at their regular board meeting held at 6:00 PM this evening, Monday, March 16, 2020.
The County will also activate a COVID-19 Information Hotline to help answer questions from the public related to the response and preparedness plans in place by Lee County. The hotline will be staffed with call takers from 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM Monday through Friday. The COVID-19 Information Hotline number is (919) 352-3360.
In addition to the Information Hotline, Lee County Government will activate the COVID-19 Emergency Update Line. The COVID-19 Emergency Update Line number is (919) 718-4686. Updates will be provided at 10 AM, 1 PM and 4 PM daily, Monday through Friday. These pre-recorded messages will be available in both English and Spanish.
Both the COVID-19 Information Hotline and the COVID-19 Emergency Update Line will be activated on Tuesday, March 17, 2020.

The public may also refer to cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov and ncdhhs.gov/divisions/public-health/coronavirus-disease-2019-covid-19-response-north-carolina for up-to-date and reliable information.
