MCSWAIN CENTER REMAINS OPEN FOR EARLY VOTING DESPITE TRAFFIC CONGESTION

October 26, 2018 – The Lee County Board of Elections was notified shortly after 4:00 PM today that a traffic accident was impacting access to the McSwain Center at 2420 Tramway Road, which is one of two early voting sites in Lee County.  The site remains opens but members of the public experiencing difficulty accessing the site may also visit the Board of Elections at 225 South Steele Street to vote.  Both early voting locations remain open to the public until 7 PM tonight.

Early voting continues in Lee County on Sunday with polls opening at both the Board of Elections and the McSwain Center at 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.  Starting Monday, October 29th through Friday, November 2nd, polls will be open from 7:00 AM until 7:00 PM daily.  The final day of early voting is Saturday, November 3rd will polls open from 8:00 AM until 1:00 PM.
