On Saturday, October 27th, the Lee County Government (LCG) Senior Services Department will host the Annual Fall Festival at the Enrichment Center starting at 8 AM.   This family friendly event features local artisans with unique and handcrafted goods that are available for sale to the public.

Vendors will offer goods including woodcarving, jewelry, paintings, Christmas decorations, candles, homemade soaps and lotions, baked and canned goods, and hand-sewn items.  RADA Cutlery will also be available for sale at 20% off inventory prices.  The Enrichment Center will also offer food concessions that will include hot dogs, sausage dogs and fresh baked goods.  Proceeds from the RADA Cutlery sales and food concessions will benefit the Enrichment Center Helping Fund.

“This is one of our favorite events of the year,” said LCG Senior Services Director Debbie Davidson.  “We get to show off the Enrichment Center and raise money for The Helping Fund, all while also supporting local artists and merchants in a family friendly venue where we welcome the public for a day of food, family, and fun!”

The Enrichment Center Helping Fund assists Lee County older adults who are in a crisis situation with the basic necessities of life.  The Helping Fund will also support the Center’s Senior Angels program this holiday season that will kick-off in November.

This year festival organizers are pleased to welcome Lending Paws a Hand to their list of vendors.  Lending Paws a Hand is a local animal rescue organization that will be on-site Saturday for individuals and families that may be looking to adopt a pet.

The Fall Festival at the Enrichment Center will run from 8 AM until 2 PM Saturday.  The Enrichment Center is located at 1615 South Third Street in Sanford.  For additional information about this event, please contact the Enrichment Center at 919-776-0501.
