The ENSURE Program that was developed to aid clients in need of a nutritional supplement at an affordable cost.  A partnership was developed between Ross Laboratories and the Enrichment Center to provide assistance to those persons in financial need. This is a wonderful program for the community and for the numerous families it has served.

The “Helping Fund” was developed in response to the growing community need for assistance in emergency situations. These needs include financial assistance for prescriptions, utility costs and/or fuel bills.  The program operates solely from individual contributions from the very generous citizens of Lee County.  100% of all contributions are used for assistance.  Lee County residents who are age 60 or older and who are in an emergency financial situation may receive assistance.  The social work staff determines eligibility. The Enrichment Center’s “Helping Fund” accepts tax-deductible contributions throughout the year.

The "Heat Relief" Fan Program is sponsored by Progress Energy, local churches and organizations and individual donations from the community.  Fans are available during the summer months to help older adults receive relief from the heat.  To qualify for a fan, an individual must be 60 years of age or older, live in Lee County and have an existing home situation which presents a threat to the person’s health or well being.
