Old Aerial Maps

Old aerial maps of Lee County are available at the office for viewing by the public. These old photos are widely used for Phase I Engineering assessments, establishing the history of old ‘cart path’ roads, evidence of old structures, and showing if an area was ever cleared and used for pasture or cropland. We have 1938, 1950, 1955, 1966, 1972, 1983, and 1991 aerial maps.

Please call the office at 919-776-2633 for an appointment to view the maps or if you have any questions.  The maps can also be viewed from the Lee County Website.  Click on Interactive Mapping and on the right hand side of the screen, click on Aerial Photography.
